I was just looking back...

I was looking back through the past month's worth of pictures looking for things that I wanted to print, and I came across a photo that I just love! It's from when my mom was here, and we were trying to get a photo of her with all the grandkids. It's very similar to one I already posted.

Anyway, poor Kyden, the littlest of the bunch, was not feeling good. We're actually quite lucky that we got the one "normal" one that we did. While we were taking these pictures, though, he just kept throwing his head back crying. Poor little guy did NOT want to be doing this, but it was my mom's last day here. No choice for him. Ha! So, anyway, I caught this one in the middle of trying to get a good one. Turns out, I think it's just as good as the "good" one! It's just so...them!

I also wanted to just thank all of you for your encouraging words. I guess I was mostly just really taken aback when I saw my girls' faces on that site. It really disturbs me that I don't know who is looking at these pictures & with what intent, you know? I mean, in this particular instance, I see that it's mostly harmless, but they just do NOT have the right.

I think that, for now, I'll be keeping things as they are. I've taken some extra precautions to try to prevent this from happening again, although I know there are always ways around it. This blog has given me too much to just abandon it. And, to think...I was a blog snob before I started this. Hahaha! My how things change! Anyway, I'm not willing to sacrifice the benefits of this blog for now. Plus, I'm really excited & flattered that I've inspired so many of you & helped you become better photographers. That just absolutely floors me. So, thanks, everyone. I appreciate all of your comments. :-)

I think I'm addicted to your blog - so needless to say I'm also relieved that you decided to persist, even amid the controversy over stolen images. "Harmless" or not - it is absolutely not okay!

I have to say I really enjoy "real" photos like this one. Just reading your comments about it, I can see how immediately it brought back the memories of that day. Isn't that what photography is all about?? :)

Amy I'm so relieved. You really are an inspiration, I love your blog! It sucks that there are people out there who have the potential to ruin all this awesomeness. Glad you're coming out on top!

I *love* this photo, so real and full of life. Perfect!

Hi Amy! I've been lurking for a couple of weeks now, my sister in law sent me here. I've acutally been meaning to write this for sometime, but life had just gotten in the way. BUT, could you please pass my e-mail address on to Heather? I would really like to catch up with her. I loved seeing the pictures of her and her kids! And your MOM! It's all brought back so many memories for me! Anyway, I'll be in Texas in a couple of weeks and would love to meet up with Heather for coffee or lunch or something. Thanks!

Hey, I'm so happy that you keep rocking! This is my first comment on your blog but I'm a regular visitor since I discovered it and I love it!!! Yes, your blog is a daily inspiration!!! After I read your post from April the 27th I stopped blogging for a few days....I just didn't feel like posting anymore! Well, it made me aware of the 'dangerous internet'... Thank you!

I wanted to ask you - how do you find websites (Orkut) ones that display stolen images? I feel the need to search and see if my images are being used (not that I'm an amazing photog., but just the thought makes me sick!)

Thank goodness you decided to keep this, Amy, for the the need of mankind(LOL!). I was sad and do understand your feeling. Thanks for being brave. Always remember that we are here and anyone who would steal your pictures(knock on the wood!) we will immediately report it to you. Funny how that is though that I recognize my favortie photographers' pictures within 25 miles radius.
