Playing in the rain...in a bikini.

Haha! :-)

Well, while the girls were supposed to be cleaning their room today, they noticed that it was raining. So, the most obvious thing to do in this situation? Put on bikinis & beg mom to go outside & play in it. Obviously.

They hadn't cleaned their room, but how could I refuse those two in their little bikinis?!?

These are all taken from the same safe spot under the porch. I wish I could have gotten into the middle of it all, but yeah...my camera would NOT have thanked me. I did the best I could. :-)

It's been a while since we've seen a headshot, right!?! :-)

I know the crop is kinda funny on this one, but there is a bike immediately behind Emma. I wasn't about to run out & move it!

And, just for fun. I know this one could be lots better, but I thought it was fun given my limited experience with water drop pictures! :-) (I do have one other water drop picture, but that's the extent of it...haha!)

So...your pics are great, BUT I think for me it's your PPing that just makes them jump off the page. You should teach some PS shops or something, or...do you already? Can I sign up? You make them look so not pp'd if that makes any sense?

These are great. The head shot of Maya is beautiful, she is so photogenic. I love the action seen in the two of Emma also. And the raindrop is really pretty. DS

Great images! I would probably crop out the grass on the last shot of the raindrops, it's a bit distracting and this way your focus goes right to the raindrops and isn't distracted by the green of the grass.

Hi Amy,
I checked out your photoblog after seeing a link on a comment you left on ILP. I started by reading the first few entries and it wasn’t long before I was hooked! I’ve read every entry since you started in January and I am now a big fan!
I would love to hear more about your photography history / background – how long have your been doing this, when did you start, what equipment you shoot with, do you have any professional training or is it self taught, do you do this professionally or just for fun, etc. Tell us more! Also, do you have any suggestions for people like me who are just starting out?
Thanks - Chantale, Montreal, Canada

Amy, do you ever take a bad picture?! Your work is always so fun, fresh and colorful.

These are all so cute and colorful. But I really love the feet in the puddle. It's just the perfect childhood moment!

These are awesome, as usual. Usually when I see your pictures I think about how I want to be you, now I think I want to be one of your children! That's so much fun, and they must be just as creative as you are to think up the whole bikini thing. Very cool. My mom never would have let me do that.

Love all of these, you can just feel the fun.
