I hope I'm here to stay...

I took Emma out into the front yard this evening. I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. I've not been shooting consistently for 2 or 3 weeks now, and I can tell. I really feel like I've taken two steps back in photography. It's a real shame, too, because I feel like I'd gained some momentum before my "hiatus."

Oh, but before we get to those in the front yard...I took a couple of her inside this morning. Here's my fave. I just love the lashes. This is pretty similar to something else I've done recently, isn't it!?! Ah well. I tried a little different post processing on this one, too, as you can probably tell. :-)
And, the ones from this evening:
The jumping was Emma's idea. I just love that she thinks creatively for me. :-)

Yeah! I get to be first. I know that I am a relatively new reader here, but I think that you are incredibly talented. I am so glad that you have decided to keep blogging. You are such an inspiration to me, and I'm sure many others.

Hey, I'm the first to comment on the new pictures! I'm glad to see you back again . . . I'm actually considering a break myself (at least a break from non-client sessions) because my kids seriously hate it when they see me coming with my camera. I don't want them to grow up dreading the sight of the old Nikon! ;) Anyway, you know that your work is always beautiful and it doesn't look to me like you've lost any ground with your photo-taking. I hope that you're back again soon with more gorgeous photos of your gorgeous girls! :)

I always leave you the same comment over and over! These are BRILLIANT! LoL- I really love your style and your pictures always look so fresh, sharp, and wonderful...and I must know...how did you get her legs, and that patch of grass in focus, but the grass in the foreground and background blurry? It looks fab!

great to see you posting again, amy. i always love your pictures. i just love the dof in all of these!

i love the eyelashes shot. i don't know why but it makes me feel that she's warm and safe.

the outside ones are great too. that's so cute that she had the idea to jump. i love it! whenever my kids jump, i seem to catch them only an inch off the ground. lol

I like the perspective on the jumping one, how it's just the legs. Really puts the emphasis on the jumping. Like the backlighting too with the hair, so whimsical and carefree.
