Should I do it?
So... uh... it's that time of year again. Okay, okay. Maybe it doesn't happen exactly yearly. But, I go through phases, and anyone that spends much time with me in real life is probably rolling their eyes about now. See, this is the way it works. I get a hankerin' (yes, I said hankerin') to chop my hair. I chop it (usually in some close variation of this style,) and I grow it out. It gets to be about as long as it is now, occassionally a tad longer, and I get the hankerin' again to chop it. Over & over & over. When it's short, I wish for it to be long. It's just a mess, really.But, I don't know... there's something about this cut that just keeps drawing me in. I guess I'm hoping maybe one day it will magically look better than the last time I cut it short. I don't know. This time, though, if I do it, I'm going all the way. No more wimping out at the last minute and asking the stylist to do a "longer version." You know what I mean?
I thought I might go looking for pictures of me in the past with my various short haircuts to share with you guys. But, alas, my billions of pictures are strewn about on several different external hard drives. It makes that task seem quite daunting. Maybe some other time.
Anyway, chances are that even if you say, "NO! Don't do it!!!" I'll still do it. :-)

just my two cents. I have nearly this cut...I love short hair(even shorter than this as this feels long to me). It is work--you have to 'do it' in the morning, you have to get it cut on a regular basis...those are the things I don't like. I'm on the other end of your dilemna--mine's just long enough now that I could make a decision to grow it out. Ah...the back and forth is half the fun.

Cut it short, grow it out, cut it short, grow it out. Over and over. What is it with hair that it's never good enough?! lol
I think you'll look amazing with short or long hair. Your hair looks super healthy, so whatever you do will be great.
I do love it long, though. Of course I say that probably because I'm just entering the "long phase" of the cycle I mentioned above!

I'm a hair stylist and I think you should for sure do it. Hair always grows back. I love love short hair. I am like you though, I grow it out cut it again and again. I can never get it as long as yours though!!! Short hair is sassy and you sound like you are a sassy momma! :)

Go for it! It's a cute cut (except maybe the sideburns) and will great on you.
I did it about a year ago (check the profile pic) and really liked it at the time. I was SO not a fan of the mullet I sported for about 4 1/2 months as it grew out though! :)
Do it Amy!!! I'm going to get mine cut soon, like a foot cut off, you know like I do every 2 years or so. My only requirement is that I can still pull it up. We can do it together, that would be fun! =)

Once you go short...you never go back, it's just too much fun! I have my hair pretty short as you can see if you check out my blog.
I love that cut! I also cut, grow, cut, grow, etc...but it keeps my man hoppin'. He never knows what to think when I go to get my haircut. I love the expression on his face when I just go in for trim. Can't tell if it is excitement or disappointment that I didn't change dramatically.
I've been reading your blog for a while now. I know we are local to each other somehow, as we take our kids to the same places...but my zoo pictures aren't near as amazing as yours.
