We got a new (to me) lens today!

Yay! New lenses are so much fun! Anyway...this is a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8. I was worried, though, because they say these lenses can go either way...you might get a sharp one or you might not. Ugh. No one likes to hear that.

So, it arrived, and I had to test it first thing! :-) Here's what I got:

And a 100% crop of the eyes:

I think it's a sharp copy! :-) Woohoo! I mean, it's not as sharp as a prime, but this is definitely acceptable!

Thanks for looking!

Wow, that's amazing! Wonderful shot. I love your conversions! I try so hard and just can't seem to get it 'just' right. I'm so waiting for my light bulb moment.

I also own a Tamron zoom lens and I love it. Works great with my camera.

Amy, I am so glad (and a wee bit jealous) that your copy is sooo darned good. Almost has me tempted to try with another copy. Great shot, and I love your blurb book, it is beautiful!

Great shot. I love the angle & the catchlight (weird to leave that singular!) is really nice.

great shot! I love everything about it!

I have been debating getting this lens, but I kept telling myself that I would wait because it would not be sharp.

You've proven me wrong!
